What do you think it's from? Let's see. Who'd like to see in the NBA skills competition? No, I want maybe he's done it. I want to see Nikolai Yokich like that's who. You know. I would like to see those big guys you know him and beat. And I think those guys maybe have one or both of those guys have done it like I know the little guys air skilled. I want to see big guys do it. You know, who would be like fun is like Boban for for the matter. Like like he would be. I love Boban like he's one of my favorite players in the league, but, like, let's have some fun with it if we're gonna have it, You know, I think that whether why whether if we're gonna have the All Star Weekend is a whole nother topic. But if we are, let's have some fun with it. Yeah, that's Ah, that's a really great point. And I I really resonate with That is like It's like what if you did a skilled competition with, you know, all the bigs and there was another skill competition and maybe, like maybe even like a postgame skill like make the little guards do post drills against, you know, And like I'm thinking about a dunk contest even like, you know, the dunk contest, I think has has kind of hit a plateau. And it be interesting to kind of break it out like Okay, like we're going to do the short dunking division. We're gonna do the long wingspan division we're going to do the 12 ft hoop won the 8 ft hoop one like Like I think you could chop things up a little bit where I think the skill competition has gotten a bit stale. And so it is interesting toe like restricted to a particular group of people. And then I think the dunk contest could benefit from some types of those types of things, too, where I think the Internet to ruin the dunk contest. That's like one of my my pet theories. It's like there's these guys on Instagram and on ticktock that are, you know, like they are. I bet you they can't shoot, you know, better than 15% from three pointer, but but they don't. And then there's one guy that I do know he like doesn't even know how to play basketball. They could just jump through that, you know, through the roof. And so he just post tick talks of him doing dunks. But it's like like that ruins because I feel like in the nineties and the eighties like part of it was watching these great talented players Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, you know, these guys that were like and then they go in the dunk contest and go compete. And that was so cool because that was that was all that you got to see. So I feel like the Internets ruined it. And now I feel like the skill countries got a scale, so that's a bit of a ramp, but yeah, no, I I agree. The and, I think, the level of athleticism across the board, you know, even at the high school level. Like, you know, we had this question again on persona the other day about, you know, the Isaiah Rider between the legs dunk. Well, now we have high school kids going between the legs in game. You know, Isaiah Rider was that that was the first time most of us had seen someone do that before. like it was. It blew our minds. And now high school kids do it in game. So just the level of athleticism. And then, like you say, social media, Twitter, all of that stuff, you know, like as a high school player? None. None of my highlights ended up on Twitter. You know, like whenever I played I'm 30 I'm 34. So I graduated high school No. Five. Nothing I ever did ended up on social media and nobody saw it unless you were there in person. Now, if the kid dunked off the backboard or dunked on somebody, you know, there, we're in nowhere. Kansas, a little small town. And we end up on huddles like, you know, nationwide plays, you know, when people all over the country are seeing it. So it just you're right. That kind of has has diminished, uh, has diminished the dunk contest a little bit. Yeah, that's a great point. I'm the exact same age playing university senior year 2005, and I remember trying to dio Carmelo's pro hopping games, and it was just like like I would try to do it perfectly and just no ref would let me even do that. Your or something like that? Like no way that, you know, Coach, if I went off the wrong foot on the layup. Nope, I'm out like now, like all of that stuff is everywhere. I'm lucky, you know that my dad was in the stands with, you know, recorded recording some of the games, but like Internet distribution like No way. So that's right there with you. That Euro step is funny. We just had that conversation at shoot around before our game on Saturday about the euro step and how refs used to call it a travel because they just it looked awkward. It looked wrong. It looked wrong. No matter whether it's a travel or not, it didn't look like something a player was supposed to be able to dio and think, Gosh, like it's gotten around enough that that is not a travel. It's two steps like any other layup. It's okay to do and but you're right back in our day, you euro step and that was a travel because it didn't look right. Look right, that's all. That's all they needed
