Kyrie decided that Harden should play point. Do you think this can fix the team's woes?

What do you think? Yeah, I think I don't know that the Nets are. I still don't think they can guard anybody. Their lack of any sort of post player is worrisome. I mean, they literally started five point guard shooting guards, small forwards. They had no power forward or center against the Warriors. But this development is very fascinating and I think could solve some of their problems. If these guys can figure out what their role is offensively, even and be okay with it, I think that makes them pretty dangerous. Obviously, they're super talented offensively, But will they be gonna be able to coexist if hardens Okay, shooting 10 times a game and getting 16 assists. That solves some of that chemistry issue offensively. Yeah, the thing that, like throws me for a loop is every time. I feel like I hear about the Nets and this goes all the way to the moment that Steve Nash was hired. I just feel like Steve Nash is. The coach is just literally, always an afterthought. It's like Kyrie is like you're playing point man like it's like part of me actually thinks that's great, right? Like I know if I were coaching them and I were my first year coach, I think one of the things that I would really work on is like, Hey, I'm gonna really tap into the fact that these guys were three potential Hall of Famers and that they know the game very, very well. And they understand playing casually with each other, and we're just gonna just kind of run this team collaboratively. The four of us are going to be kind of the four people that think about how to run this team and like, I'll be responsible for holding people accountable and like running our practice structure and like, But I'm sort of a co captain with everyone else. But it's just sort of like shocking to kind of here at how they organized one night. So I do think in, like, five years, we're gonna look back at this and be like Steve Nash was either an idiot on. He was sort of like a Mike Brown, like letting LeBron just do whatever he wanted in Cleveland or we're gonna look back on this and like, Wow, he's a genius and he led his team, just like, you know, co coach with him and they won five championships in a row. And I feel like it's gonna be one of those two worlds. Yeah, I mean, as a coach, and I'm obviously a I'm you know, I'm an assistant coach at a high school level. It's just fascinating Thio here. This, like, I could never imagine our guys just saying, All right, Coach, he's gonna play point guard now. And I'm gonna go play shooting guard. And this is who you know, taking the board and drawing plays up, you know? I mean, it's just, you know, and I don't know, it's just it's crazy to me. Um, but you're right. And, you know, Steve Nash is a big name in the NBA. Mike D'Antoni is a big name in the coach. Had a lot of success. So it's not like it's just two random dudes that air coaching the steam. And I bet it would be fun to sit in on some meetings in that organization, you know? Yeah. I mean to challenge you a little bit on your on your coaching art. I mean, what if you had the top three players in the state on your team, and they all chose to come to your high school and they were all, you know, looking like they were going to go to the MBA together like I do like I mean, that's the type of prestige way are talking about and like Like, I do wonder if that would change versus, you know, depending on what your current roster looks like. Well, so So so to answer that question, I mean, we're we're the best team in our class in the state this year. We have a really good team. And to be honest with you, we manage egos more than we do. Anything else is basketball coaches this year because our guys air so talented. It's not about figuring out a way to get open shots or making a bucket or whatever. It's okay who's, you know, keep him happy. Keep him happy, make sure he gets enough shots and and that is what we're doing. So there is a little thing. Yeah, and And so even though you're in that situation, you still would find it hard to believe the them to come back to you like, Hey, we're switching positions like we've told them what their roles are to keep them happy. They didn't get to tell us. Yeah, and this is This is a funny conversation, by the way, because your coach and I've always been a player. I coached some summer league for freshman high school basketball, and I was like, I am the worst coach ever because a I get way too involved, like as a player, like I'm like on then, like and then be like I I was very not thinking about anything other than just, like scoring or next Bucket s. So it's interesting to kind of hear those two. Well, it depends on your roster construction. You know, I say we have a very talented offensive team, so we kind of just let him do it. And then we do, you know, come up with defensive game plans and again, like managing egos, making sure everybody stays happy. Trump hard hit next
