Who's right? Bill Simmons: "There was a couple of years when Shaq was out of shape." KG: "When you're out of shape, bro, you're not scoring 25 a night, get yo ass outta here."streamable.com
two things. First I subscribed. The conspiracy theory that James Harden was wearing a fat suit or multiple warmup layers was on persona is one of the questions a lot of people bought that. But second, let's just say that that belly were entirely true. Yeah, I would say he's out of shape, and I'm realizing this is a little bit of like an absolute versus relative debate that we're kind of going back and forth. And here it's like I think James Harden could be in a lot better shape again. This is assuming that belly is true. Uh, and and that's the expectation. And I think the superstars in the league LeBron's the honest is, you know, these people like they keep their body in immaculate condition, you know, for playing every game every season, like their body is ready to compete. And I think that was Kobe's mentality and Jordan's mostly Jordan's mentality. Whereas, like Shock and James Harden, yeah, they're in the like. I think that their lifestyle and their diet and whatever, like, comes first and, you know, obviously getting buckets and performing is important to them. But not doing it to like this 100th percentile level and a really great interview I saw Steve Nash touches on. This is well and Steve Nash talked about. It wasn't until he was, like, 33 34 that he started thinking about his diet and changing it, eating right, exercising appropriately, stretching all the, you know, rehab and all that. He was like a completely changed my whole like ritual what, playing the game. And I think James Harden and shock like they're both at about that age as we're starting to transition that they're like they're not taking their care of the body of the way they could, And I think that is to me, it's sort of, Ah, it's a relative problem to the superstars in the league.
