Buy or Sell? Locke: β€œThe biggest myth in the NBA is that you can just rebuild. Nearly 30% of the league has been really bad for an extended period of time and have had top draft picks and still stuck in mediocrity. When you have top level winning talent you have to pay them and keep them.”

Yeah, I definitely think that there's a lot of, um, truth to this that a lot of teams saw Philadelphia saw process, um, saw them get Jolin beats and Ben Simmons, and all of a sudden they are a Eastern Conference finals contender. Uh, it just doesn't always work that way and almost never works that way. You've got teams like the Phoenix Suns, Thea, Orlando Magic, Um, and a lot of teams that just have been outside of the playoff picture for a really long time. The Knicks have been bad for so long, and we could blame that on ownership. But what has it given them? R. J. Barrett is like the most exciting prospect that they have. Um, especially in small market, great talent is hard to find. And that's why I'm more lucky. Got so lucky with Yannis. But, um, in Memphis, I guess got really lucky with jaw. New Orleans getting lucky with Zion. Um, but yeah, you have to pay winning talent, especially when you're not l. A or Boston or New York who can attract that talent
