Twitter is shutting down threaded replies because they're 'too confusing'. Agree with the decision?
www.theverge.compersonally, I'm not confused by them. Um, they could be designed better. But I do think you know it is this problem of a cocktail party where there's a conversation sort of happening, and then you basically have all these side conversations going on. And so I think fundamentally, it is challenging to sort of group that in a way that makes sense. So I get that, Um but I do think the mawr we move to squishing things in just a saying like, Hey, this is the simplified response structure. It contributes to the polarization that we see on social media. If I could only have a conversation in one particular way on the platform that is very easy or be focused, I think you're gonna tend to see a post tweet, and then you're going to see a single top reply and then people replying to that reply, and it is like just going to be a mess either way. So if they're interested in working on it, um, in a different way, I'm all for it. If they're saying like, Hey, no, we're just done with that old thing. I think that's a missed opportunity
